therapy

Finally. Finally. Finally i've seen daisy. Been ages since i last seen her. Like P6? Wow, that's a long time. 5yrs. Hmmm... think she kinda shrinked in terms of height. OR maybe i grew. Did some catching up.... Crapped with her and lijuan.

Anyway, watched Miss Congeniality 2 Armed And Fabulous. Great show. As good as Miss Congeniality. Better catch it if you haven't ;)

Did quite alot of shopping. I mean it's quite alot for me.
So, went to places like orchard, shaw house, far east, ps, bugis. I didn't know i could walk so much. But the pain is killing me now. My legs are aching like shiet.

So back to bugis... went to find wendy. Poor fella working there. Decided to spice up her work life since she's been complaining abt boredom. Hehe.. Browsed through almost 80% of the cards there... Messed them up so she could so some work by arranging them. Oh ya, she taught me how to see the price code. Which is DAMM lame. See this wendy? DAMM lame.
Pretty bored already, and she suggested that i should try the osim massage chair. Heh i didn't thought, didn't have the guts to do so. So i sat at the kids corner and watched tv. From Mr Bean to ultraman to Pokemon. Reo called and chatted. Well not exactly chat. Crap was more like it. No singing though.

So finally it's ten. Finally had my dinner and went home with wendy. MEaning more crapping. Oh ya, wendy when u gonna get ur pig pls tell me. Don't forget ya?

Right before i go, i remembered some things i must do before the sch term starts again. Here goes:

1. eat pizza hut
2. shopping with sy n lj
3. go kite flying
4. go ice skating
5. bbq at my hse
6. make jh play badminton with me

abt all i guess.

Oh ya, YOU better check this site out. It's like freakin' making me think abt the logic behind this. http://www.megacity.org/mirrored_stuff/psychic.swf

oh my oh my~

HE: Do you mind if I sit down?
SHE: Do you mind if i say no?

HE: Can I buy you a drink?
SHE: Actually I'd rather have the money.

HE: I'm a photographer. I've been looking for a face
like yours.
SHE: I'm a plastic surgeon. I've been looking for a
face like yours.

HE: Hi. Didn't we go on a date once? Or was it
twice?
SHE: Must've been once. I never make the same
mistake twice.

HE: Will you go out with me this Saturday?
SHE: Sorry. I'm having a headache this weekend.

HE: Go on ,don't be shy. Ask me out.
SHE: Okay, get out.

HE: I think I could make you very happy.
SHE: Why? Are you leaving?

HE: What would you say if I asked you to marry
me?
SHE: Nothing. I can't talk and laugh at the same
time.

HE: Can I have your name?
SHE: Why? Don't you already have one?

HE: Where have you been all my life?
SHE: Hiding from you.

HE: Haven't I seen you some place before?
SHE: Yes. That's why I don't go there anymore.

HE: Is this seat empty?
SHE: Yes, and this one will be if you sit down.

HE: Hey baby, what's your sign?
SHE: Do not enter.

HE: Your body is like a temple.
SHE: Sorry, there are no services today.

Good Friday

The most important events in Christianity are the death and later resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Jewish prophet who Christians believe is the Son of God, and whose life and teachings are the foundation of Christianity.

Good Friday is the Friday before Easter. It commemorates the execution of Jesus by crucifixion.

Good Friday is a day of mourning in church. During special Good Friday services Christians meditate on Jesus's suffering and death on the cross, and what this means for their faith.

In some countries, there are special Good Friday processions, or re-enactments of the Crucifixion.

The main service on Good Friday takes place between midday and 3pm. In many churches it takes the form of a meditation based on the seven last words of Jesus on the cross, with hymns, prayers, and short sermons.

The seven last words from the cross

The Bible quotes seven last sentences that Jesus spoke from the Cross

"Father , forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing." (Luke 23:34)

"Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise."(Luke 23 :43)

"Woman,here is your son….Here is your mother"(John 19:26)

"Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?"(My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?) (Mark 15:34)

"I am thirsty"(John 19:28)

"It is finished"(John 19:30)

"Father, into your hands I commend my spirit"(Luke 23:46)

The seven last words have inspired a number of composers, including Schutz, Haydn, Dubois, and James MacMillan.

to my friends . . .

If one day you feel like crying...
Call me.
I don't promise that I will make you laugh,
But I can cry with you
If one day you want to run away--
Don't be afraid to call me.
I don't promise to ask you to stop...
But I can run with you
If one day you don't want to listen to anyone...
Call me.
I promise to be there for you.
And I promise to be very quiet.
But if one day you call...
And there is no answer...
Come fast to see me.
Perhaps I need you.

whatever

Came across this:

To: Students of Polytechnics in Singapore

It is obviously unfair that SMRT and SBS charge polytechnic students adult fares while JC students only pay 45cents per trip. Are we not of the same age as JC students? Do we NOT travel as much as JC students do? Are our families any better off than theirs? The general answer is NO, Polytechnic students are in fact just average students. (Actually this doesn't matter. What matters is we are not as smart as them. Those who can make it to a JC but ended up in a poly as just as stupid. So we're kinda paying for our stupidity. YEa..) Yes, there are elder students who are already working and capable of supporting themselves, but they still hold a very much smaller percentage as compared to the young students fresh from secondary school. I do believe SMRT and SBS are smart enough to not make decisions based on stereotyping thinking, and i certainly do believe that they are capable of being fair and unbiased, so i take it this fare difference was due to negligence in decision discussion and making. A higher fare would very directly affect the students' moods about school (i beg to differ. The main reason affecting students' mood abt sch is that sch starts early and ends late. Why would i care abt my travel fare?????) , discouraging students from poorer families to continue with their studies. (Rubbish. Absurd. I'm not against the poorer population. But majority of them who can't study don't want to study anyway.) This could impact the Singaporean economy as the majority of people studying go to polytechnics after their O levels, and a high fare would discourage workers from coming back to polytechnics to upgrade themselves. (Workers? As in those who are 30-40years old? I think they should just beg for a drop in bus fare for all ages)
What i'm going to suggest is a flat fare rate for all polytechnic students, and a further possibility of a flat rate of 45 cents for students who are 16-20 years of age. Same goes for concession prices, polytechnics are in fact less accessible than JCs and may need to switch buses/mrts more frequently, so it would help if concession prices were dropped to the same prices as JC students'. I believe that if this action were to be taken, more people would be encouraged to go to polytechnics to study and upgrade themselves for the good of the society. (Honestly, if i can make it to a JC, i wouldn't come to a polythecnic.)

Sign this petition with your respective polytechnics, student numbers and name if you feel the same. A letter has been sent in to SMRT and SBSTransit and this petition will be referred to by them shortly. We encourage everyone to sign this petition to help support our cause.

Signed, Pang Khin Wee and Liang Yuqing from Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
-----------------------
I don't care how much the bus fare is. Doesn't really matter to me. But I signed it anyway. It's just me to going against the govt.

Just sign the darn peition here: http://www.petitiononline.com/polybus/

life is getting scary

At school or varsity, finding a job or getting married, it's not like it used be :-

Dear Mummy,
I am feeling very sad.

Today in school, Zhong Guoren - my classmate from China - beat me again, in a maths test. That boy is an unstoppable genius machine.
Last week, he beat me in sports too.
If he were not here, I would have come in first and gotten a gold.
But because the Government says we must welcome foreign talents to increase our population and to improve our economy, I got a bronze instead. This sucks.
At first, we laughed at them, because their English was not very good.
Their maths and science were good, and their Chinese was excellent
(but who cares about Chinese language, right?). But then, their English got better and now, they are kicking our backsides in this subject too.
I think we should get the Government to do something about this.
Why didn't you have more babies, Mummy? I wouldn't mind having a
brother or a sister to play with. I am an only child, and because
you and Daddy are not making enough babies, we have to get people from
other countries, people who make it hard for me to be number one in my class.
I think you are very selfish to just have me, Mummy.
I don't like to lose, Mummy. I am used to being first in my class.
And my school was very small too, like Singapore, so it was easy to be
first. Now my school is bigger, and I have to fight harder to be first.
Why can't we just compete with ourselves, among Singaporeans only
(okay, and maybe Permanent Residents)?
Why can't they have a new category for all the tests and CCAs?
We could have a Best Local Maths Student category and a Best Local
Sportsman category, then at least, if I don't win Best Maths Student,
I can be Best Local Maths Student and feel better about myself.
Just like my school is ranked one of the Top 20 Value-added Secondary
Schools with a Special Assessment Award for Knitting CCA, I also want
to be a top student.
Maybe we need to have a new category like "Top 20 Value-added
Secondary Schools (Got China Students)".
This is because our school has smart foreign students and should be
ranked separately so that schools without smart foreign students
won't feel so jealous. And, maybe, we should drop Literature as a subject
too. I hate Literature, hard to score "A"s.
In fact, we should have streams like EM1 (Local) and EM1 (China and
Others). Let the smart China students have their own stream.
I want to go to university when I grow up, especially the National
University of Singapore (NUS), because our newspapers say that NUS
is even better than Princeton and Cornell in the United States.
But I hear there are many brilliant China students in NUS, too.
I don't want to be having private tuition until I am 25 years old, just to keep up with my foreign classmates in the Uni. Or else, I will have no time to meet girls and then I will be forced to go to Vietnam and Kelantan to find a wife when I want to start a family.
In fact, I am very upset with foreigners competing with us even in this area.
All the girls I know say that when they finish studying and go to work, they want to marry ang mohs, because Singapore men are unromantic and do not want to know how to make a girl happy. So, the ang mohs are even stealing our women.
I prefer to marry a Singapore girl, of course, but only if she knows how to cook and wash, and peel my prawns for me (like you, Mummy).
But nowadays, Singapore girls are so fierce, just because they study,
and earn their own money.
Maybe that is why in Chinatown, I saw this big Singapore Rooster,
and it was sitting on eggs. I think the Singapore Hen left him to look
after the eggs, because she had to work and do all the things an educated Hen does.
I also worry I cannot find a job when I am older. My friend, Ah Hock,
tells me his mother feels all these Chinese foreigners are stealing our jobs and our men (and the ang mohs are stealing our women).
That is very scary, Mummy. You told me many China women are in Singapore only to do naughty things, like relieve old men of their Central Provident Fund money.
Once an uncle wrote in the papers that we should catch those foreign women who are tall, have long hair and legs, and wear tight, revealing
outfits in black or red and behave coquettishly.
I think we should only accept foreign women who are short, have short
hair and legs, and wear loose, covered-up outfits in white or blue, and behave like a man.
Okay, Mummy, I have to go to my Chinese, maths and science tuition classes now. If I don't go, I won't be able to beat Guoren.

Your son,
Khia Soo

=]

It's getting a little dry in here. So i decide to blog today.
Well, no one would be reading it though. Everyone will be busy mugging.
Just finish watching the slipper show. I'm hooked onto it. Nice show really. Sadly i miss the front part of it. But nvm, it's only a drama.

Today.. was fairly good. Labelled as one of the most productive day of my live. Slept more than my fair share. =) Ate more than my fair share too. But i studied!! NOt more than my fair share though. HAhaha.. I only have 1 accts exam paper left. NOt enough!! I can finish them all in 1 day. BUt i decided not to be so greedy. So i left one aside. Hehe.. This semester, the past papers are definately not sufficient. Last semester heap of test paper can bury me alive. But this semester, hardly cover my ankle. =(

Talked to dixon online.. still the same old boy. Hahaha.. NO one in class is online. I'm such an ass for being online. BooHoo~~

My entry today is total crap. Guess i'm too sleepy to think properly. If you have read till this part i really wonder what's on your mind right now.

Waiting for the sun to rise..... tml econs seminar at 9am. 6hrs more to go.

Got back most of ica results. I think ii was the best i can do. I'm not the academic material afterall. Anyway, results are definately better compared to last semester. So i'm "pretty" safe provided that i don't screw up in my main.

Things just don't go the way you want them to. And things always happen so unexpectedly. Feeling really sucky right now. Ever since the afternoon i've been feeling sucky. Arghhhhh~~~~~~~~

You know what, the tag board thing really sucks. I'm so gonna get rid of it after my exams. And my stupid dog keep whining. I really hate him at times. URgH!!!! Lijuan can you kindly come and keep him company? He's getting on my nerves.
